Lazy Weekend

This weather has me feeling a bit uninspired. It's hard to avoid wearing jeans and boots all the time. And we're expected to get another snowstorm on Tuesday. I've already gotten sick of the snow. Anyone else feeling the winter blues? I need to shake this off fast. I think some sun and warmth would do the trick. I think I'll just escape to Dominican Republic. Hah, I wish.
This weekend was spent studying for the most part. I usually go to the library in sweats and uggs but decided to go ahead and leave the sweats and uggs behind and put on an outfit that could still be cute but ideal for studying. Who says you can't be fashionable and comfortable? :)

OUTFIT DETAILS
Cardigan - Forever21
Tank - H&M
Scarf - Forever21
Leggings - H&M
Boots - SHI by Journeys
Necklace - Forever21

This cardigan that I recently purchased worked wonders. I knew I would love it when I saw it online. I love wearing layers to the library because you never know if it will be too cold or too hot and if you're anything like me, the temperature needs to be just right in order for me to study. With layers, I can put stuff on or take stuff off if need be. And now I must get back to schoolwork. This was my study break. =p

I feel bittersweet about this semester. I want to get it over and done with but feel like I'm not ready to let go of my college experience. I would really just do away with all the work. Hah. :) Hope you guys had a great weekend!

P.S. ONLY 4 DAYS LEFT TO ENTER MY GIVEAWAY! :)

Night time in Vegas

As promised, this is the LAST post about Vegas but I wanted to show you guys some outfits I wore to go out at night so without further ado ...

1st night -- This one shouldered lace dress is from Forever21.

2nd night -- Red dress from H&M. Remember my Black Friday post when I purchased it for $5?

3rd night when we went to go see LOVE by Cirque Du Soleil. Dress and tights are from ASOS.

Last night there. Dress is from Charlotte Russe. =]

This is my last post about Vegas which makes me a little sad considering their weather is so much nicer than the one we're currently having. To think my school didn't cancel class. Blasphemy.

By the way, have you entered my giveaway? :)

Ten items I recently purchased ...

Don't forget to enter my giveaway!!

It seems like the best sales always happen after the holidays are over and done with and for my Ten Things Tuesday I thought I'd share with you guys my ten recent purchases.

1. Canon Rebel XS 1000d
This beauty came in the mail yesterday and I'm in love. I can't wait to start using it!

2. Olive Green Anorak from AE
I was on the hunt for the perfect olive green jacket for a while now and when I saw this on AE's website, I knew I had to get it. The only thing it's really missing is a hood, but I can live.

3. Nude colored buckle strap heels from F21
I usually stray away from the shoe section of the Forever21 website but I saw these and swooned. I love the chunky heel and the buckles and for $25.80, I was not about to let these lovelies go.

4. AE Striped tube dress from AE
How perfect is this dress?! I can picture summer picnics or walks along the beach already. They had it in white and grey and white and navy but I decided to get the white and olive green.

5. Boyfit Jeans from AE
I've always wanted boyfriend jeans but was afraid they would look too loose on me because I'm so petite. I love that these still offer that same feel but don't fit as loose so that I don't feel like I'm wearing parachute pants.

6. Lace Dress from F21
I love how girly this dress is.

7. Grey Flats from F21
These remind me of my ballerina days.

8. Black top from F21
I love how flowy this shirt is. I can't wait to wear it out.

9. Striped cardigan from F21
I'm obsessed with all things stripes.

10. Striped skirt from F21

After actually listing my purchases, I realized I bought nothing suitable for winter. This may be because I'm tired of the snow and the cold already and subconsciously and well, consciously, I am wishing for Spring/Summer, longer days, and warmth!

I hope the weather has been treating you guys a little better.

Win an OPI nailpolish, LUSH bathbomb, and a F21 necklace! *CLOSED*

So I finally got my computer back and it's well ... kind of working. Something is wrong with the sound but luckily my better half is tech savvy and will fix all the quirks and stuff. Aside from any technical difficulties, I'm just happy to have my computer back and decided to tell you guys about my VERY FIRST GIVEAWAY! As I've mentioned before, I am obsessed with every single holiday and Valentine's Day is no exception. I even loved the holiday when I was single! My mom and I would exchange chocolates and cards and watch chick flicks. Because of this obsession for anything that celebrates well .... anything, I decided to have my giveaway revolve around Valentine's Day regardless of whether or not you're taken. One lucky winner will receive ...

OPI Big Apple Red
LUSH Sex Bomb Bath Bomb
Forever 21 Heart Necklace

This is all courtesy of me because I wanted to thank you all for following my blog, leaving all of your wonderful comments, and reading what I have to say. I thought that this giveaway would be a nice way to say thanks and let you guys pamper yourselves. :)

I knew I wanted a red nail polish as part of my giveaway because if you remember my 10 Guilty Pleasures post, one of my favorite things to do to pamper myself and well ... procrastinate, was to paint my nails and when I saw Big Apple Red, I knew I had to get it. I loved it so much that I even bought myself one too. It's a perfect cherry color and it's named after my favorite city in the world so obviously it was meant to be.

The LUSH bath bomb is absolutely amazing as it leaves you with scented, smooth skin and with a name like Sex Bomb, it has to be amazing right? I saw the name and giggled because I am a ten year old sadly, but I like the idea of feeling like a sex bomb and the reason we pamper ourselves is to feel more confident so if you're preparing for a hot date or you're just spending a night in, you can just rip off a chunk of it and lather yourself.

My last item is a beautiful necklace from Forever21. It can glam up any outfit and can be worn with anything in my opinion.

Vegas By Day

As all of you may know as I'm sure I've exhausted the topic, I just got back from Vegas and I thought it would be a fun idea to show you what I wore during the days I was actually able to snap some pictures.

For the first day, we mostly explored the strip and walked around to take it all in.

OUTFIT DETAILS
Hat - Forever21
Grey jacket - H&M
Scarf - Random street vendor in DC
Striped tunic - Forever21
Little satchel - H&M
Tights - Forever21
Boots - Local Store
Burgundy cardigan (not shown) - thrifted

It was pretty warm in Vegas by my standards considering they had weather in the 50's while I was used to the northeast who had weather in the 20's and 30's so walking around with a light jacket and scarf was perfect. We later went to have some drinks at a cute margarita place and had a blast. It's never a dull moment when you have 9 other girls around.

The second day consisted of more exploring but actually going into the hotels rather than just around the strip as we snapped pictures of all the attractions .

OUTFIT DETAILS
Scarf - Forever21
Leather Jacket - Local store
White tunic - Forever21
Satchel - Forever21
Heart tights - ASOS
Boots - Local store
Thigh high socks - ASOS

We saw the Bellagio fountain show and walked around Caesar's Palace and even had a beer in a chandelier. (Also, anyone recognize the pretty lady in the fourth picture? She's one of my good friends and fellow blogger. :))

Unfortunately, the third day was spent pretty much recuperating from the second night out so I didn't snap any outfit picture that day until the night time which I'll post about later but I did manage to take a picture of an amazing dessert we had in Max Brenner.
I had only heard about the one in Union Sq in NYC but had never ventured inside until we went to the one in Vegas. IT WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. I recommend it to anyone who lives near one. Apparently there are only three in the United States and two are in the northeast but if you guys ever find yourselves in Vegas, Philadelphia, or NYC, be sure to check this place out for some chocolate-y goodness.

Before I knew it, it was the fourth day and we were packing to go back home. We were on a terrible flight due to the inclement weather and got home 5 hours after we were supposed to. Luckily, being with nine other girls doesn't hurt as we were never short on entertainment. =]

Stay tuned for my Vegas by Night post as I share what I wore for every night we went out. Also, as I mentioned before, I've decided to do my giveaway with a Valentine's Day theme. And no, I'm not giving away sappy stuff. I'm planning on giving away a pretty heart necklace, a LUSH bath bomb, nice red nail polish and a nice pair of tights AKA things every girl needs/wants in order to pamper herself whether she's preparing for a hot date or a lovely night in so stay tuned!

Ten Things Thursday? (Vegas Edition)

Hello again! I'm finally back home after arriving 6 hours after I was supposed to. I was going through blogging withdrawals and knew I needed to update as soon as possible. My trip to Vegas was absolutely amazing but exhausting. It's safe to say that my body definitely hates me with all the sleepless nights and walks around in heels. I know I have been slacking with one of my features I wanted to do, Ten Things Tuesday but I figured Ten Things Thursday is pretty okay too right? It still falls on a weekday that starts with a T. Ten Things Tuesday will definitely start up again next week at its normal schedule. Haha. Are you wondering what I did in Vegas? Well I was a terrible blogger that's for sure. I only took 82 pictures, yup, 82. With 9 other girls who had cameras, it was hard to take my camera out all the time so I'm anxious to see what pictures they took. I think we should have a flickr account so everyone could just upload all the pictures to the same album but we'll see. And now I bring you Ten Things Thursday, VEGAS EDITION. (I must have been an announcer in a past life, obviously).

1. Saw the Grand Canyon from my plane window

2. Stayed in a beautiful hotel

3. Snapped some pretty pictures (well my girlfriends did, like I said, I was a terrible blogger but I did manage to get some!)

4. Walked around the strip by day ...

5. .... and then by night (the strip definitely takes on a whole new life at night)

6. Explored inside the hotels and ooo'd and aaaa'd at all the beautiful decor

7. Gambled and lost too much money

8. Saw the Fountains at the Bellagio

9. Had a drink in a chandelier

10. Saw LOVE by Cirque du Soleil

And there you have it. It's not exactly my trip in a nutshell but are simply some highlights of the trip. I'll be posting what I wore by day and what I wore by night in my upcoming posts and show you guys some fun group shots that we took! =] And now to catch up on comments, blogs, life, etc!

P.S. Go check out Diane's blog as I'm part of a Fashionista Faceoff! Vote for me or Diane or both; whichever you prefer. :)
