1. Pocketwatch Necklaces

I recently purchased a pocket watch necklace and I love it. There's something so timeless and classy about a pocketwatch. This beauty above is from Modcloth. It's too bad it's sold out.

2. Vintage Keys

Okay sooo story time. When I was a baby, one of the first gifts I ever got was a gold key pendant from my godmother. At the time, (I'm not entirely sure if this is some type of Dominican myth or not buttt) the key was said to stop nosebleeds which I used to have quite often as a child. I was later told that it had two purposes. It's first purpose was to stop my nosebleeds but its second purpose was to be given to the love of my life on the day of my wedding. I still have the key (obviously because I'm not married) but I think it gave keys a whole new meaning for me. Ever since, I have been obsessed with keys, especially old vintage ones. I already have like two key necklaces but I love this one pictured above. :)

3. Bohemian Handbags

They just look so pretty to me. Perfect for summer strolls and if you get a messenger, they can fit just about anything. :) This beauty can be found on Amazon.

4. Bright Red Lipstick

When it comes to make up, I am a minimalist. I hardly do anything besides eyeliner and because my lips are so small, I like drawing attention to them and bright red lipstick is definitely the way to go if you want to draw attention to your lips. The lipstick I love and use is #127 by Inglot.

5. Love Letters

Love letters are definitely underrated. With technology advancing as much as it has, people rarely take the time out to write anything anymore as there's texting and emailing so readily available. My boyfriend and I are big on cards and we give each other cards for every occasion. I think that's nicer than looking back on a saved text personally. It isn't exactly a love letter, but at least it's handwritten.

6. Polaroid Hearts

Now that I have my polaroid camera, I cannot wait until I have enough pictures to make a whole heart. Isn't the idea of having the heart where your headboard is supposed to go adorable? I love it. :)

8. Quirky Decor for your Home

Isn't this adorable? I, personally, have an obsession with owls. I have three owl necklaces and even an owl bookend but I don't have an owl to hold my mail. This quirky thing is from Urban Outfitters.

9. Old Pictures of NYC

It's no secret that I love all things NYC, but I especially love being able to see how it was 20, 50, even 100 years ago. 

10. Jewelry Organizers

If you remember from my accessories post, I have A LOT of jewelery and I'm always looking at ways I can organize and reorganize them. This wooden organizer is perfect because it has so many compartments and even some hooks for some necklaces. It can be found on Etsy.

Hello there lovelies, how are we all doing on this lovely hump day? I, for one, am procrastinating ... as usual. I have one last exam to get through tomorrow morning before I am home for the holidays. I. CANNOT. WAIT. I just want to be done with the semester. Senioritis has officially hit me and it's attacking with a vengeance. I don't want to do anything! And now here I am, blogging and venting. I'm looking forward to the eager faces of my little cousins and the massive amounts of food I will soon be consuming. Until then, I'll just focus on an outfit post. =]

The picture that inspired the outfit ...

This photo was taken during my trip to Dominican Republic in my great grandmother's house. I'm really going to have to dedicate a whole post to that trip because I truly took some beautiful shots. And now for the outfit ...


The outfit, with the exception of the necklace, ring and boots, is all from Forever21. The ring is from ASOS, the boots are from Michael Antonio, and the necklace was a gift from my boyfriend.

You could tell from the last picture that I was freezing. I have goosebumps all over. I still think it's a nice winter outfit, with a scarf and a heavy coat. =] And now, on to more studying. I hope you all have a fantastic day!

Hello there darlings, how are we all on this brisk, chilly day? I'm currently procrastinating (as usual) and decided to post an outfit post (does that sound redundant? I literally re-read that at least three times, ah well). Anyway, my lovely friend Jane snapped quick shots of me before she went to work (I love her =]) and I figured I should share them. I'm going on a very small hiatus as I will be going home tomorrow with Brett (the bf) 'til Saturday. I still need to pack for winter break and finish Christmas shopping. Did I mention I'm a procrastinator? I'm excited about this weekend though because Friday the boy and I will go to the mall to start (and hopefully finish) his Christmas shopping and then Saturday, we're going into the city with my mom to see the Christmas tree at Rockefeller Plaza and the Macy's window displays so I will definitely snap some pictures. I'm so obsessed with Christmas. I can literally stay home and watch Christmas movies, or watch people decorate other people's houses for the holidays. It's bad. I'm rambling now, so without further ado, the picture that inspired the outfit.

This photo was taken while Brett and I went to Boston for Spring Break our freshman year of college. To believe that it was almost 4 years ago. Crazy. I loved our trip though. Granted, we went in the middle of March so it was freezing and it rained most of the time but it still remains one of my favorite, if not my favorite, little vacation. This specific spot in Boston is Acorn Street in Beacon Hill which is the most photographed street in the United States (so I've heard) which is pretty awesome. =]

And now for the outfit. Now, I must confess something. My past blog posts have been a little deceiving because in all of the pictures my hair was straight but my hair is actually naturally really curly. =]

At this point, I was freezing! It's so cold outside. All of these pictures are taken in my driveway because I refused to go any further without a coat on. Gahhh, winter. I hate it sometimes. It could be because I was born in Dominican Republic so I naturally dislike cold weather. Haha. Who knows ...

Remember my ASOS rings? =] I love them.

And finally, my beloved owl necklace. =]

The grey sweater is thrifted, the burgundy top is from Victoria's Secret, the leggings, socks, tie up boots, bag, and owl necklace are from Forever21 (I could be their spokesperson with how much I shop there haha) and the rings are from ASOS. Oh, and the little silver necklace that you might see in some of the pictures was a gift from my boyfriend for our one year anniversary. It has my birthstone on it. =] I love him.

Shiny New Things!

Hello there lovelies! How have your weekends been thus far? Mine has been wet. It has been raining here in Jersey this entire weekend. Anywho, 14 posts later, I am surprised it has taken me this long to actually post about my accessories and my new items, three new ASOS rings that I recently purchased. I am absolutely in love with them and I wear them as often as I possibly can. (Now that winter has come, my hands are covered in mittens and it's hard to wear rings =[). Anywho, I present to you .. my accessories.


I love my earrings organizer. It has a separate compartment for every earring and even holds my studs and rings. My necklace organizers are just cork boards I bought in Target 5 years ago that I stuck push pins in to hang the necklaces. And now for my three shiny new things!


The last flower ring isn't from ASOS but it's beautiful. My friend gave it to me a year ago and I wear it as often as I can. What do you guys think? I'm hoping to expand my ring collection if you recall my Christmas Wishlist. Do you guys have any new additions to your accessories? I'd love to see. I'll be posting more outfit posts soon as well as holiday dresses and a sneak peek into what I'm bringing to Las Vegas when I go with my roommates in January so stay tuned! =]
